Starting from this Sunday (28th May) and going forward (Sunday only competitions singles events) we will be having nearest the pin on the 17th hole.

Entry fee  is of course optional @ €1 (winner takes all in the shape of a voucher like the twos).

The first group out on Sunday will take with them, measuring tape, sign and sheet for recording nearest the pin. The last group will retrieve all items and return them to the pro shop as soon as their round is completed.

 This should keep the interest going  even if your round of Golf has not gone as planned on the day.

We will be hosting a Mixed Team Event for Members of Elmgreen Golf Club on Easter Monday, April 17th. This is a mixed event and there must be at least one man or woman on each team. BRS booking for this event is live and you can reserve your tee time by clicking here. More information about the format for the competition will be available early next week.

Carr Golf are delighted to announce a €1 million investment in Corballis Links Golf Club and Elmgreen Golf Club, with the purpose of dramatically improving both facilities. Carr Golf are Ireland’s fastest growing golf club management and maintenance specialists and their ambitious plans will help to reinvigorate two of Dublin’s most well-known golf clubs.

The initial phase will focus on improving the presentation of both courses and this is already underway with the recent purchase of state of the art machinery worth over €500,000. The new machinery will assist a 12 strong team of expert greenkeepers, who will be working tirelessly over the coming weeks and months to elevate the standards of both courses. Initial reaction has been extremely positive from members and guests, with many commenting that they have already noticed improvements to the quality of the courses, which has greatly enhanced their playing experience.

Plans are also in place to renovate the off course facilities at Corballis and Elmgreen, with a further investment of more than €500,000 being committed to improving the clubhouses, pro shops, locker rooms, driving range and restaurant, with work commencing in early 2017. This will coincide with the launch of their innovative Membership Programme, which will cater for every golfer.

Carr Golf will manage all aspects of each Club’s operations and during the tender process they engaged Goodform to carry out extensive research of members and visitors at the clubs. The feedback has helped Carr Golf to shape their investment plans and prioritise those areas needing immediate improvement.

Corballis Links Golf Club located in Donabate is a hidden jewell in Irish links courses and was recently added to the Irish Gems section of The land on which it is situated was first used to play golf in 1906 and over the years has attracted golfers from all over the world, including Bernhard Langer, who used to play there prior to the Irish Open.

Elmgreen Golf Club is a quaint parkland course designed by renowned golf course architecht Eddie Hackett. Although situated just off the M50 and only 15 minutes from the city centre, the course offers spectacular views of the Dublin mountains and is renowned for year round playability.

Speaking about the plans for the golf courses, Marty Carr, CEO at Carr Golf said;

“We see this as a really exciting time for Elmgreen and Corballis Links Golf Clubs and hope that Members and guests enjoy this new journey with us as we strive to dramatically improve their experience and present a far superior golf course, facility and service. Improved communications and engagement with Members will also ensure they are kept updated of club initiatives at all times.”
